Human Resources Manager WASHINGTON (Tacoma)
JOB SUMMARY

Bass Pro Shops is seeking an experienced HR Manager to support our store location. The successful candidate will build strong partnerships with Store Management and Bass Pro Associates. The HR Manager will be responsible for delivering HR programs and processes to enable the success of the business. Responsibilities include training, employment practices, recognition and reward programs, staffing, performance management, compliance and creating and maintaining a positive associate relations environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    Supports a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers
    Execute all HR related policies, practices and direction from the Company
    Provides leadership and support for Store Management team
    Assists with development and implementation of HR programs to source, recruit, hire, develop and train Management associates to fill vacancies and to provide candidates for the future growth of the Company.
    Assists Management to staff the Store with “service” oriented associates; participates in interviewing and selection, coordinates training, prepares / approves performance appraisals, recommends merit / promotional increases, prepares weekly work schedules, coaches and motivates associates to promote positive customer relations and a productive team-oriented work environment
    Meets all retention goals set by the Company.
    Maintains open door policy in the store.
    Administers all recognition programs.
    Supervises the Focus Group program and follows up on all issues.
    Establishes a store level communication program to include: Newsletter, handouts, meetings, check stuffers, etc.
    Resolves associate issues
    Facilitates training for all levels in the store. Ensures compliance with all training programs.
    Other duties as assigned

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    3-5 years HR experience in a Generalist role (preferably in Retail)
    2 years Management experience

Successful candidates must have 3-5 years of retail management experience, preferably in a high volume department or discount retail environment. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills are necessary. In addition, the Customer Service Manager will be responsible for the store's point of sale (POS) financial management. Maintenance Manager WASHINGTON (Tacoma)
Position Summary:

Completes work order service requests in support of store operations. Performs preventive maintenance, and over sees service contractors delivery of routine maintenance (housekeeping, landscape maintenance, pest control, etc.). Must possess broad skills in various building trades (I.E. plumbing, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, etc.) and broad mechanical aptitude. Duties include building and equipment repair and installation, and project work relating to store sales initiatives. Additionally, this position is responsible to support corporate facility maintenance, energy conservation, and waste management programs.

Position Responsibilities:

Supports a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers

Electrical repair; lamp changing, light fixture repair/installation, diagnostic capability.

Plumbing repair; pump and fixture installations/replacements/repair, drain cleaning, diagnostic capability.

Heating, ventilating, and air conditioning; basic understanding of commercial equipment operation and maintenance procedures.

Basic mechanical repair on tractors, forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, and other equipment as required.

Basic building repair; painting, wall repair, minor carpentry, floor repair, etc.

Perform periodic building operation “tune up” to ensure energy conservation and waste management efforts at the store level are consistent with over all corporate facility programs.

This position is expected to remain flexible in work scheduling to meet changing store objectives.
