Fish Feeding

Come join us every Tuesday  at 7pm, Thursday at 12pm, and Saturday at 12 pm to see the fish feeding habits and characteristics of a variety of fish in our 19,000 gallon tank. Test your knowledge to see if you can recognize the different types of fish in our aquarium.

Boater's Safety Course

Learn the basics of boating safety. Class is from 915am to 5pm. Customers may come as early as 9am. All children under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult. Both adult and child must be registered for the class. No exceptions. Lunch will be 30 minutes long. The exact time of lunch is at the discretion of the instructor. Any additional breaks are also at the discretion of the instructor.

RESERVATIONS REQUIRED. SEATS ARE LIMITED.

Boating Safety Education Challenge Exam

            If you are an experienced boater and have a good working knowledge of the navigation rules, required safety equipment, and specific Virginia & Federal boating laws and regulations, you may opt to take an 80 question challenge exam. You will have a maximum of 3 hours to complete the exam (1pm-4pm). The exam is closed book, no reference material is allowed in the examination room. The Virginia Watercraft Owners Guide should be used as study material along with other boating education material. Successful completion of this exam meets the Virginia law concerning boating education and a DGIF certification card will be issued at the conclusion of the exam attesting to this.

 

You must register on line at: www.dgif.virginia.gov/boating/education/requirement under Challenge Exam or telephone at (804) 367 - 0768 or by e-mail to Stacey.brown@dgif.virginia.gov or the Regional Coordinator at pnaco98@cox.net at least 3 days prior to the exam date. Walk-Ins will not be allowed.
