Boating Safety Education Challenge Exam

If you are an experienced boater and have a good working knowledge of the navigation rules, required safety equipment, and specific Virginia & Federal boating laws and regulations, you may opt to take an 80 question challenge exam. You will have a maximum of 3 hours to complete the exam (6:30pm-9pm). The exam is closed book, no reference material is allowed in the examination room. The Virginia Watercraft Owners Guide should be used as study material along with other boating education material. Successful completion of this exam meets the Virginia law concerning boating education and a DGIF certification card will be issued at the conclusion of the exam attesting to this.
