Boy Scout Merit Badge Classes

September is Boy Scouts of America Month! 

Every Tuesday and Thursday we will have classes given by Merit badge councilors to help our local scouts earn their merit badge. All classes will begin at 6 p.m.

*Please be aware that one class does not garuntee a Merit Badge. The Rifle Shooting is a 3 part venture. We provide 2 parts of class work and the actual shooting portion must be done at another facility. For more information on where a scout can pass his rifle shooting requirments can be found at www.neic.org.

*Fishing Merit Badge scouts must provide proof (photo) that they can "catch at least one fish and identify it. if regulations and health concerns permit, clean and cook a fish you have caught. Otherwise, acquire a fish and cook it."

Fly Tying Lessons

Individual Fly Tying Lessons are available for free every Thursday evening. Please See Carol in the fishing department between 6 - 6:30 to start. 

No previous experience necessary. Supplies and tools are always provied but participants are more than welcome to bring supplies from home, if they wish. Fly types are based on region and season.

Located at the White River Fly Shop towards the back right corner of the store.
