This position reports directly to the Compliance and Property Tax Manager. This position will work with the Compliance and Property Tax Manager to account for and handle all of the companies' licenses and property tax filings for Bass Pro and Tracker Marine Retail. The license area in particular is a highly critical area for the company in keeping all the stores operational.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Licenses/Compliance: This position will work with the filing of all license applications, license renewals, and tracking of all of the companies’ licenses. This includes all licenses for retail stores and boat dealerships in both the U.S. and Canada (approximately two thousand licenses).

•Property Tax: This position will assist with preparing and filing all the personal property tax returns. We have over 150 property tax returns to file annually (and growing). The Tax Staff will also handle the processing, verification, and payment of all real estate tax bills and personal property tax bills.

•Property Tax & License Software:This position will work with and be a primary party responsible for our license software (License HQ) and our property tax returns software (Thomson OneSource Property Tax).

•Budgets: This position will be responsible for assisting in preparing the budgets for the entire company related to the Tax and License areas.

•Communicator/Bridge Builder: This position will spend a large amount of time communicating with internal customers (BPS/TMG Department Managers, Store Managers, etc) and external customers (government officials, etc) and will need to be able to build successful long term working relationships.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

The Tracker Production Supervisor position requires an overall knowledge of retail advertising and technical art production skills.     Prerequisite:
    This position requires a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Photography with a minimum of 3 years of commercial location and studio photographic experience as the primary photographer.

    •Apply sound concepts of product design, engineering, naval architecture and quality management to define, develop and integrate state of the art marine product and manufacturing methodology into high production manufacturing facilities company wide.
    •Lead a corporate product development group in design, engineering, manufacturing process development and quality management.
    •Develop recreational marine product for fabrication in composites, aluminum and rotomolded thermoplastic.
    •Support new product development and engineering for five brands of power boat products.
    •Establish and monitor engineering and manufacturing standards.
    •Assist in budgeting for product development, engineering, capital equipment acquisition and shop facilities improvements.
    •Characterize and qualify new manufacturing materials: coatings, resins, reinforcements, composite sheet, thermoformed sheet, adhesives, fasteners, molding, blanking, forming, fastening, CNC and robotics and/or any other material or processes that may apply in Tracker Marine Group boat and parts production.
    •Develop state of the art tooling and molding processes. Plan and develop composites manufacturing processes, including CNC sheet cutting and robotic spray deposition of coatings and composites materials. Lead in the development of state-of-the-art closed molding tooling and processes. Maximize quality, efficient, space requirements, materials and labor usage and yield.
    •Apply lean Sigma quality principles in product and manufacturing process development.
    •Define, develop and instruct in state-of-the-art manufacture of composites and aluminum recreational marine product.
    •Make and present plans for projects in process development and integration into manufacturing.
    •Make schedules for project development time and cost requirements.
    •Monitor and report process and plant development activity to assure conformance to established engineering and manufacturing standards.

    Skills/Qualifications:

    •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or Naval Architecture at an accredited four year college or university is highly preferred
    •A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the design, engineering, manufacturing and marketing of marine recreational, aerospace or consumer products with proven, quantifiable results is desired
    •Previous experience sourcing, managing and directing remotely outside professionals (i.e. toolmakers) on a contractual basis.
    •Lean Six Sigma Certification
    •Strong leadership experience and skills to communicate and work effectively with all levels of the organization
    •Proactive in identifying and solving problems
    •A genuine belief in continuous improvement with a willingness to analyze, challenge and change processes if needed
    •Flexible in the face of shifting priorities

    Position Summary:

    Develop recreational marine products for fabrication in composites, aluminum and rotomolded thermoplastic. Develop freshwater and saltwater products including but not limited to concept development and interpretation, prototype development, tooling design, tooling fabrication, manufacturing process planning, manufacturing engineering and customer service support.

    Responsible for responding to consumer inquiries and conducting outbound follow-up campaigns to assist boat and ATV shoppers and facilitate an introduction to their local Tracker Boat Center sales team. Also provides support for event and service campaigns through outbound calls to customers and prospective customers.
