Fish Feedings

Live fish feeding demonstrations every Wednesday at 7pm, Saturday at 1pm , and Sunday at 2pm. Join us for live fish feeding demonstrations in which fish will be fed live worms, minnows, and even a few blue gill. Check out the massive striper aggressively strike their prey in an instant, while the Gar stealthily swim up right beside their prey and in the blink of an eye, the minnow is gone. We'll also discuss various topics about the fish native to Kansas. Truly an event worth seeing at least once, if not more! |

How about a trip to Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World Olathe! With over 130,000 sq. feet of outdoor equipment, wildlife displays, state record replicas, a both a 19,000 freshwater and a 12,000 gallon saltwater aquarium, and an archery range, there is something for everyone whether you are an outdoors enthusiast or not!

Conceal and Carry Class

CONCEALED CARRY HANDGUN TRAINING
Bass Pro Shops offers the Attorney General approved training course for law abiding citizens to qualify for their Kansas resident (and Florida nonresident) concealed carry license. Taught by certified instructors Kay & Bob Curtis, the course includes lecture, participation, demonstration, shooting a target and taking a written exam. The $150 tuition includes a $20 gift certificate to Bass Pro Shops, a passport photo, and certificates of completion in both the Kansas and Florida formats.
As an added bonus, following the 9-hour course is an optional 1-hour Florida Nonresident Concealed Firearm License Paperwork Seminar. The tuition of $45 covers highlights of the Florida statute, the application and fingerprint card with instructions for completing them in class, notary services, passport photo, and a pre-addressed and postage paid envelope to mail the application packet to Florida. Thirty-three states recognize the Florida permit, and it may appeal to Kansans who want an additional ten states or expect to move out of Kansas in the future.
Classes are held in the Conservation Room of the Olathe store from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the following Saturdays in 2009: January 10, February 7, March 7, April 25, May 23, June 20, July 25, August 16, September 26, October 10, November 21, December 12. Check in at 8:10 a.m.
