The Browning head lamp provides the excellent versatility of a long range bright beam and 3 LEDs. | Light Emitting Diodes, or LEDs, have been around since the 60s. In the early nineties LEDs were created that produced white light. Since LED's only run on 1/10 to 1/20 the power as gas-filled bulbs and have a duration of five to ten years, plus being virtually unbreakable, the new lighting industry started looking to use them in many different applications -- thus their entry into the flashlight industry.
When Browning does something, they do it right. So when they made a new line of LED flashlights, they had to "raise the bar." A perfect example of Browning innovation is their new "hybrid" headlamp. This headlamp features both old and new technology that captures the best of both types of flashlights it has three LEDs and a Xenon bulb within the same reflector. Three position switch allows for a choice of steady or flashing light, or to change from the LED bulbs to the Xenon.
The Browning head lamp provides the excellent versatility of a long range bright beam and 3 LEDs for close-up, long-lasting flood lighting. The special "Black Ice" LEDs in the light will provide over 100,000 hours of uninterrupted light and is touted to be ten times brighter than traditional LEDS. You can get up to 150 hours light from the LEDs on one battery, or 3 hours from the Xenon bulb.
Aluminum construction ensures these lights are tough, while lithium batteries (included) make them some of the lightest, most compact lights made. The water-resistant head-lamp is one of the most comfortable on the market with a "padded," three-strap head band that keeps the lamp securely on you head. This is perfect for finding your way around during a night of camping or when you're trying to look through your boat for some catfish bait.
The lamp housing is built solidly and you would be hard-pressed to break this lamp - even if it sits under the rest of the camping gear on the ride home. So if you'd like to get a great new flashlight for your head that won't let you down - check out this new Browning headlamp.
