You can also control this versatile camera directly, previewing and playing back shots and video, changing settings, and trimming footage on the Hero5 Black's 2" touch display. The camera's wireless capability also allows for automatic upload to a GoPro Plus cloud account (with subscription from GoPro - not included) for easy access anywhere to edit with GoPro's editing app, Quik™ (not included).

The Hero5 Black records real life adventures in stunning high resolution video, ranging from 4K30, 2.7K60, 1440p at 80 frames per second, 1080p120, 960p120, and 720p240, all with high-quality, dynamic audio. Advanced Video Stabilization helps you capture smooth video, whether the camera is capturing video in a mount or in your hand. Camera captures still photos with single shots or burst mode, capturing still images up to 30 fps. Maximizing your imaging opportunities, this camera gives you the ability to capture still photos in RAW format for flexibility with advanced editing software or WDR format for optimized shadow and highlights detail. Both video and still camera functions offer time lapse and low light modes, as well as a GPS location capture function to mark where the photos or video was taken. The Hero5 Black also comes packed with features and technologies to help you capture and edit video for an amazing end product. These features include HiLight tags, Protune™, Auto Low Light frame rate, SuperView™, auto image rotation, Linear Field of View, manual exposure control, video looping, simultaneous video and still image capture, and more.
