Rated 4 out of 5 by BARJO1029 from Good Purchase I bought SHOT PLOT and put it out in extremely dry conditions w/out testing soil or fertilizing. All i did was lightly disc the top soil and broadcasted it by hand. We had one rain on it of less then 1/8" and within 3 days it was 1 1/2" tall. It is still early in the season but so far so good for this hunter! HOOK'EM HORNS!

Rated 5 out of 5 by mdmorgan from Deer Love It! This is the second year of planting this product. I plant this late summer. My deer consistently eat it to the ground and keep coming back. It grows fast, but is easy to overplant in one spot, so be careful. I don't know if the deer would eat the actual turnips in the ground, because they decimate the greens before turnips are formed. I plant clover and chickory with this product, so next spring the deer have something to eat .

What seed attractant can be used above 8500 ft?

You can plant Shot plot in the spring without any issues. It will also grow at 8500 ft altitude but may have a shorter growing season than lower altitudes because of a shorter warm season at high altitude. Thanks
