I inadvertently put this case to the test a couple times last week by dropping my iPhone 4. The phone held up nicely.
The main feature I like about this case, and the reason I bought it, is that the bottom is completely open allowing me to plug any 30 pin connector into my phone (including old iPod cables and car adapters). The corners are well protected but from speaker to speaker, the bottom is wide open.
