I’ll let others discuss (debate) how to, when, and how much to call. I checked out You Tube for clips on this call and there are a few (search Flextone All-N-One Deer Call). The videos make it look easy - I like the one by Tom Wiley (Flextone Instructional Video). Practice makes perfect (or close to it), and I have enjoyed teasing my dogs as I tried out the different vocalizations. I like the fact that it is small and fits easily in your pack; and that it won’t make noise if you fumble around with it. The grunt call works best for me. If you are not sold on using a call, this is a good first one to get for the price and versatility.

Rated 5 out of 5 by COLZ Offers good variey in calling
This is a very flexible call in that it offers several different types of calls which mimic actual sounds deer make. They don't all sound alike. I carry another call made under a different brand just to add more variety as it is higher pitched in the doe sound. After a few times of use, you can easily remember which slot on the Flextone to hold with your finger to produce the different sounds. I use all calls sparingly. The Flextone all-in-one works better than any I have ever used.

on the first day, tried using this call and worked great, until the reed kept sticking. after i went in i disassembled the call, and when putting it back together i moved the reed out a little bit, it makes for a deeper grunt, and really makes for realistic doe and fawn calls- that arent too loud and just scare em away also very quiet when moving. get what ya pay for but i like having more than one call, deer respond to deer, i personally use this call and another one on my wrist so that i can get two different sounds, alternating calls in different directions each time. be safe in the woods!

I had absolutly no problems with this call. The first time I used it was opening day of muzzleloader season. I had several does come out behind my stand and out of range. After a bit they went back into the woods. I sat there and figured "What the heck, I may as well try the call, it can't hurt." I used the doe bleat and not even 5 min later a doe and her fawn walked directly under my stand. This call goes with me on every hunt and it doesnt disappoint. I also love that it is quiet if it bumps up against something.
