I actually like the handle on top. It is easier for carrying. I have taken this mug every where mostly sailing. This mug holds alot of water and keeps water ice cold! I have had 2 of them the first ws perfect and the second slowly leaks when tipped over. Must be a malfunction. The top can be hard to screw on.

I prefer the Bubba Keg with a handle. I had a 52 ounce keg with handle (like a large mug), and saw this 72 oz cooler on sale, so I bought it for the larger size. I've since found and bought a 72 oz Bubba Keg with a handle and prefer it. I prefer to drink from the container but if you're looking for a cooler from which you poor the liquid into a cup, then this would be a very good choice. The Bubba Keg line keeps the contents (and ice), cold for hours and great for those of us looking for a cold drink with ice to last all day.
