The speed craw does a great job as a Carolina rig bait or as a pitching bait on a Texas-rig. It will punch grass OK, but you need a little more weight than with some of the specially designed grass craws or a tube. The bait doesn't look like much out of the water, but it comes alive on the fall. When I'm pitching boat docks, I'll usually have a speed craw in bullfrog color (Grn. Pumpkin/chartreuse laminate) on a 2/0 hook with a 1/4-oz or 5/16-oz weight ready. The slower fall and wilder action will get strikes behind guys pitching jigs to the same cover.

This craw is a great little heavy cover bait that doubles nicely as a trailer.
It works best with a 3/0 to 4/0 wide gap hook. Use at least a 3/16 ounce weight to make the claws flutter. I usually like a 1/4-ounce or larger. It truly is a great craw for numbers. I prefer a slightly larger craw if I am targeting big fish, as this bait gets loads of strikes. I keep several bags of each color on hand at all times.

This is an incredibly versatile lure. Great for pike, smallies, crappie and largemouth( just caught an 8lb.8oz) Let's not forget the action with Channel catfish, incredible ...caught several 6to 8 pounders with the Pearl. Looking forward to trying lure in Alaska for silvers.
Ist time fisherman can score big with these craws. Great action. Good luck, Bod

Rated 5 out of 5Â by DoubleJ zoom ultravibe speed craw!
This is an amazing bait. Zoom seems to always come through. I had been using grubs and worms and such and the fishing ( for lm bass) was getting slow. So i tried one of these in the watermelon seed color and caught a 2 pounder, two 4 pounders, and a 7 pounder. I am very pleased with this bait.

Ultravibe all the way for bass.A:Â
I think the Ultravibe speedcraw is more versatile. In certain situations when bass are sluggish and just aren't quite as aggressive, i'll bite off the back inch of the craw and allow for those short hits to be in the boat. However when they are hitting ...it's still a killer of a lure. Never....never fails.Images for this Answer

I like a sleek bait, the super speed craw has too much drag and feels like you have some grass dragging on the bait.A:Â
Regular Speed craw is the right choice. small compact easy to use. Tons of action. The super craw is hard to cast because of all the plastic. and it doesnt have great action.A:Â
I feel the ultravibe speed craw is the more productive of the 2A:Â

I like the Ultravibe a little better although i do seem to catch fish a little larger with the super speed crawA:Â
I've fished both and got twice as many bits on the ultarvib. Bigger fish will probably be caught on the speed craw early in the year, the second half of the year fish the ultravib.A:Â
