  • Incredibly versatile
  • Can be fished alone or on a rig
  • High-action tentacles
The incredibly versatile Ultra-Vibe Speed Craw from Zoom can be effectively fished alone on a Carolina rig or rigged as a trailer on your favorite flippin' jig. The Speed Craw's high-action tentacles tantalizingly flutter on the fall bringing the bigger bass out of the deepest cover for a look-see and an inevitable strike.
Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 102 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by These Work!!! I've always had luck using live craws in creeks and small rivers to catch Smallies and Largemouth so when I saw these I had to try them. I've recently gone on a plastic bait kick and have been fishing this summer using Zoom products and have been kicking tail. The Speed Craw is no exception. I use these with a Texas or Carolina rig with a steel bullet weight of 3/8 or 1/4, and a # 2 or #3 offset worm hook and destroy the fish. Sometimes color makes a difference but if you fish the bait well and they're hitting, you should get a few. I've had the best luck so far with the Watermelon Red color. A lot of times there are limited colors or they are just out of stock at the local Bass Pro, when these hit the shelves they're gone in a day or less. I'll be ordering more online shortly. For $4.50 a bag these are a deal. Some have said Zoom plastics are not durable, seriously, either way FOUR FIFTY A BAG, cheaper than a movie ticket. Depending on how rough you fish them and how many hits you get will determine lure life. My average craw lasts 2 to 4 trips, a few less, a few more, but people, FOUR FIFTY A BAG, get real. Book up on how to rig and fish Texas and Carolina style and you're more than halfway there. Happy Fishing! July 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by good bait purchased a few bags of varying colors, and it didn't matter the color this bait is a bass magnet. i use it as a trailer on my hack attack jigs, and has been proven to be very effective May 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great pre-spawn and spawn lure Try rigging it on a 3/0 Charlie Brewer Slider Wide Gap Pro Head. Just swim it oh so slowly along the bottom. Pause it once in a while. Bedding bass go after these like dive bombers when they get near a nest. March 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cold Front Bait I like the size of this and the profile because its just a little bit smaller then a beaver for when its a cold front/blue bird skies. I T-Rig this up and pitch it into grass. Slides through great and works when a jig won't. March 4, 2014

A:
Yes. Depending on the water clarity/color, almost all the colors work. I try to match color based on water conditions as said above and by what live baits are in the water, i.e. minnows, craws, frogs, etc.

A:
Yes, Scuppernong has a big following among Zoom anglers and with the success of Watermelon Candy; this new candy version will be a welcome addition. This great “earthy” color will be effective in both clear and stained water conditions. Thanks

Yes. When these get worn out or torn up you can use the bottom half for jigs or trailers or be inventive and "Frankenstein" several different pieces and colors together.

A:
I think the Ultravibe speedcraw is more versatile. In certain situations when bass are sluggish and just aren't quite as aggressive, i'll bite off the back inch of the craw and allow for those short hits to be in the boat. However when they are hitting ...it's still a killer of a lure. Never....never fails.

I like a sleek bait, the super speed craw has too much drag and feels like you have some grass dragging on the bait.

A:
Regular Speed craw is the right choice. small compact easy to use. Tons of action. The super craw is hard to cast because of all the plastic. and it doesnt have great action.

I've fished both and got twice as many bits on the ultarvib. Bigger fish will probably be caught on the speed craw early in the year, the second half of the year fish the ultravib.
