Zoom Super Speed Craws
Great Jig Trailer
I've used thisTexas rigged which works well but I seem to have my best luck using it as a trailer on a color matched bleeding bitsy jig or a color matched BPS Enticer football jig. I've caught bass on several different colors. When it's hot I'll let it fall to the bottom, then twitch it every few seconds, working it slowly which seems to work for me. Early morning or during cooler weather if retreived at a med to fast pace the radical action of the legs drive Bass crazy. It all depends on the conditions and lots of trial and error to figure out color and presentation, patience and persistance will be rewarded with this softbait.

Great bait for almost all conditions!
I've been a big fan of using lizards for large mouth and got on the Brush Hogs which work really well. I tried some of these Craws out and am amazed at how many fish I've gotten on these. I like a lot of things with this bait. Its heavy enough to throw weight less which I think is the best way to fish this. It lets the bait fall at just the right rate and fish it effectively without having to move it too much. The bait really causes a lot of action and you'll need to tick and tap it a little harder than most soft plastics to get the legs moving. I think the only thing I don't like is how many I've gone through. Small mouth really tear this bait up, a good thing but usually only last a few bites. Most of the large mouth I've caught with this have swallowed the bait and I've had to cut the hook and leave it. I've also been able to catch some crappie off of this which is weird considering how small most crappie baits are. I like to fish this weightless with a glass bead which adds to the flash and sound of the bait.
