Was introduced to the fluke while on a fishing TX fishing trip. Very closely mimics the behavior of a wounded or confused bait minnow. Slightly negatively buoyant with a erratic back and forth action as you twitch on the retrieve. I find them to be as effective as live shiners here in Massachusetts without all the hassle of live bait bucket, runs to the bait store, etc.

This bait is deadly if rigged correctly. I rig a 6' light action rod with 10lb red powerpro, about a 2' fluorocarbon leader 10lb test, with a weight less size 1 or 2 red wide gap hook (the smallest available). And here is the trick, insert the hook from the bottom of the bait about a quarter of an inch from the tip. It's not weedless but the added action from a single hook point is highly effective. This rig accounted for about half of 198 fish caught on a recent potomac river trip, fish up to 5lbs. Tighy lines!

Love this lure. Its been great this year on the lake. We hit Amistad for a quick weekend trip, and lost count on how many fish we landed in the boat.

I just recently used this bait on a drop-shot while sight-fishing to catch giant smallmouths in northern Wisconsin. In one day, I caught 8 Smallmouths, with the smallest being 4 lbs and the biggest over 6. What an awesome bait!
