There are plastic baits, and then there are Zoom baits. The difference is undeniable. For those who love to fish--and catch--there can be no other choice. Every Zoom soft plastic bait is wholly realistic, super-soft to the touch (for the extra action needed to pull that reluctant money fish) and salt-impregnated to hold even the most tentative bite.

The Mag Super Fluke is a beefed up version of Zoom's popular Super Fluke soft plastic. Offering a plump yet streamlined shape with lifelike baitfish split tail, the Mag Super Fluke jerkbait is virtually impossible to fish wrong. Effective fished weightless and twitched like a fleeing baitfish or rigged weedless to fish cover and structures.

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 34 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great soft jerk bait Used the mag zoom flukes on a trip to Guntersville Lake on the first day out I caught a 6lb largemouth. On the second day out I caught a 8lb largemouth.Need I say more. April 1, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by great product i like to use this super fluke when it starts to get cold in Michigan. the bite really turned off so i thought i might as well try one of these super flukes, i caught three bass that day when nothing else worked. I buy dozens of packs of flukes from Zoom, they have a great product and hold up well in the weeds. one of the funnest ways to fish December 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best bait ever? Use this bait. I have tried all other styles of soft plastics, worms, swimbaits, tubes, crawfish, frogs. The Mag Fluke looks super realistic and natural. My family was laughing at how big the fluke was until I started outfishing them literaly 10-1. I fish them weightless with a 5/0 twistlock hook. EWG hooks don't work as well with all the rubber at the nose of the bait. I will be using the owner twistlock flippin hook when I get them for the best hookup possible. The only downside to this lure is that the smallmouth rip it to shreds, I can only get a couple fish off of one bait, and since they are so productive I usually go through a pack every trip. Also I would like to see more colors available. July 21, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Zoom Mag Super Fluke This product works very well to take Strippers. The 7" works far better than the 5". The White Ice & White Purle work very well and can be changed to Charchues with dip. June 10, 2012

My experience says yes. Flukes are one of the most versatile lures out there, and if fished properly for the water and species present, they will catch any fish eating species.

It works best on northern largemouth, especially in clear water. It is also an effective smallmouth bait.

A:
Yes it will If you know the type of shad you are imitate it will work. Bass are always feeding on shad except for during the winter, a crayfish pattern will preform better in the winter. Shad are about 1/3 of a bass's diet, so just match the type of shad in your area and they will work.

A:
I always try to "match the hatch" of local forage fish. If shad are present, use a shad color and size that is appropriate. If bass fry are the forage, select accordingly. I tend to go larger than the typical forage to attract larger fish and it has worked well for me. As for hook selection, I like a heavy wide gap hook in a size 5/0 for bass as it allows the best hookup ratios for me. You can use keel weighted, or plain hooks to impart the desired sink rate. I almost always use a weighted hook to cover the water column effectively.

Extra wide gap 5/0 for mag. Weighted hook to get it off the surface if needed. I have only used on bass. Caught a 7.5 lb in 12 ft of water using weighted hook.

4/0 Gamakatzu hooks. No sinker. Pick a color that mimics what your targeted fish normally eat, but don't be afraid to experiment. You may discover something that the fish like that only YOU will know about.
