Built strong and sharp to provide instant penetration, these hooks are specifically designed for Zoom®'s Horny Toad baits. These heavy-duty hooks feature an ultra-sharp point, a 60-degree bend, and a screw lock on the eye. The screw lock holds the bait's head in position on the hook, which extends life and catches for the horny toad lure.

great hooks!!!! works well keeps frogs in good condition for longer use takes the abuse of many fish August 1, 2009
Best frog Hook available The zoom 5/0 hook is the best I have found for fishing both the zoom and stanley frogs. You usually can catch 5+ fish on the same frog versus losing your frog with each fish which is what usually happens with ordinary EWG hooks. July 20, 2007
not just for toads I bought these hooks at first without realizing they were ment for plasic toads. Paired with a BPS hook weight they make a perfect hollow bodied swimbait hook. I use a 3/0 for a 3-3.5 inch a swimbait, 4/0 for 4 inch, 6/0 for 5 inch and 7/0 for 6 inch. Unfortunatley these hooks are only availible up to 5/0. The screw-lock feature is a big step up from a regular offset hooks and worm hooks. Just make sure you use superglue to hold it in place. If you are looking for perfect swimbait hook this is it. Strong and Sharp I bought these hooks to use with the Stanley ribbit frogs. Good purchase on my part!! Great product again by Zoom!! These will not tear the nose of your frog up like and EWG hook will. They can also double as a great Swimbait hook for the BPS Squirmin Swim shad that is now on Sale. They come with one hook but these are good back ups. You can also use the Bass Pro Shops XPS Hook Weights 38-426-496-04 to make your swimbait or frog fall a little faster if that is what you are trying to accomplish. These come highly recommended and I hope that it is obvious that you tie your line to the hook not the little screw that twists into the nose of the bait. March 6, 2009

A:
yes. they are good on any soft plastic. the keel on the weighted ones act as a lift when pulled thru the water, and the non weighted ones are just a wide gap hook with a spring on the end. i like them.

A:
They work great on any plastic lure, just twist that wire into the nose.

A:
I always "Texas Rig" it with the hook going between the legs and the hook tip pointing up. But I prefer a weighted belly hook so it stays upright all the time.

-Have fun reelin em in!

A:
Twist the wire part into the nose, then put the hook through the back like a texas rig.

A:
I hook through the belly and bring hook up through the back and skin hook the back. I believe this provides you a more weedless profile as well lets the bait swim in its natural form.

I believe the 5/0 hook will be best for you. I have used both sizes and feel I get better hook ups with the 5/0 hook

A:
I've used 4/0 with the 3.5 inch ribbits and they were perfectly sized -- 5/0 would have been too big. Since the Zoom Toads are slightly longer, you might be able to use a 5/0, but 4/0s should work.
