I will be honest and say that I have not owned a wide variety of scopes but I could not be happier with my 3x9x40 that I have mounted atop my savage 212 shotgun. Any deer hunter knows and values those dwindling moments after the sun has set when the deer are moving, and the glass in these scopes will squeeze the most out of those opportunities. I just ordered the 3x12x56 conquest and for my rifle and can only imagine the light transmission with the larger objective. I will update after the 2013 deer hunting season.

The Conquest is Zeiss' entry-level rifle scope. It can't compare to a $2500 scope, but it is clear, bright and durable. It was made to take the pounding that a magnum rifle delivers shot after shot. I now own three Conquests. Why? Because they perform and hold their zeroes. I took a 340 point New Mexico elk at 410 yards with my second Zeiss 3x9 mounted on a .300 win mag. in October 2011. I've also taken many other animals at closer range. It "feels" right and I trust it. I bought it on sale and am very happy with my purchase. I would recommend this scope to any serious hunter.

Let me start by saying how clear and bright the image is in this scope! Even in overcast conditions, I can see unbelievable detail. At low light, I can see more than with my naked eye. I put this scope next to the Leupold VX-II, Nikon Buckmaster, and the Vortex. While the Vortex seemed to have matched clarity, the ability to collect light seemed lacking. The Leupold and Nikon did not even come close to the Zeiss. Spend a little more on the Zeiss. Well worth it!! The Vortex looks to be way overpriced and I could notice little advantage over the Conquest. All in all, best money I've spent on my gun yet.

Hi gents, I would like to know if a zeiss rifle scope 3x12x50 would to the job on a .375 H & H MAG ? I do close quarter and plains game hunting, that require shots up to 350 yrds. Will zeiss handle the punch the 375 gives ?Answers
A:
I have 3-9x40 Conquest mounted on a Remington Custom KS .375,that weighs 8 1/2 lbs scoped, and it has handled hundreds of rounds with no issues whatsoever. I've been highly impressed with the Conquest line, but have to question your choice of the 3-12x50, as the 3-9 is more than adequate at your stated ranges, even in low light.Details:

I have the 3.5-9x40mm conquest scope. I noticed that the elevation and windage nobs pull up and like unseat themselves. It's not broken because the instructions said something about the nobs being able to be pulled up but it wasn't very clear at all. But you can pull them up and rotate them around then push them back down and they go back to normal. Does anybody know why?Answers
A:
This feature is to allow you to reset your knobs to zero.A:
If you'll notice there's one thicker line on the ring compared to all the others. This is the zero stop. Once you've zero'd the point of impact pull up on the dial and rotate it to this thick line and set it back down on the mark below. Now the knob can be turned to adjust for windage and elevation and be turned back to zero again giving you your starting point. The Conquest is of high quality and will return to zero, something ALOT of other scopes won't do.Details:

What are the best size scope rings for the Zeiss Conquest 3.5-9x40mm( High, Low, Medium, or Extra High scope rings?
Answers
A:
The 40 mm objective should allow you to only need medium rings for clearance. Check with a gunsmith on your particular set up but my 3x9x40 works perfectly with medium height.A:
That all depends on the barrel diameter. On a heavy barreled rifle high rings should be used. On a sporter barreled rifle medium rings work well. Low rings with a 44mm objective get a little to close to allow the barrel to vibrate freely, but on the 40mm, low rings is what I would buy for sure.A:
lowA:
Depends on your personal preference, how high do you like your scope? You may be able to get away with a low on a 40mm objective, depending on your base rail and barrel/receiver but I think medium is a good place to start.Details:

Without question. I have one on a Tikka T3 (very light gun) in a .338wm. has been FLAWLESS for 3 years and numerous hunting trips. I also have a Zeiss on a 300Wby that kicks like a horse. No probs there either.A:
Like a ROCK! I've had it on my 338RUM for 5 years without a problem, get it today and go hunting tomorrow!!!A:
It holds up to my 300 rem ultra mag and I will buy it from you if it won't take the recoil of your 338. Other words yes they are very tough scopes.A:
Yes, Zeiss says BOOM-Away!My question for you is will your mounting system stand up to the 338 mag?
A:
I would say no problem I have had one on my 300 Weatherby Mag for the last 10 years with no problems. I believe they have a lifetime guarantee also so no worries.
