Zeiss HD Binocs My loving wife gave the Zeiss 10 X 42 HD binocs for Christmas. I took them to Oklahoma the next day for a week long archery deer/turkey, hog, coyote hunt. The temps never reached 30 degrees for the week and winds were 20 to 40 knots at times. I've hunted for over 45 years all over the US and Canada. I've used several types of binocs over the years but never premium glasses. I'm very hard on equipment and need my equipment to endure abuse. I've always managed to get by with mid price range binocs. At least until now. While on a hunting trip to Western Ky last spring with my good friend Dr. J W Evans, I borrowed his Zeiss binocs to look at some turkeys way across a bean field. I was shocked at the clarity and wondered what I had been missing by using my Leopold Cascade binocs! I had to have a pair of these....... JW advised my wife, and I now own these binocs. My first venture with these glasses was a good test. Very cold, windy, brutal environment. These binocs are compact, lightweight, they have low chromatic dispersion, wide field of view, being water and fog proof and rubber coated makes them perfect for my use. The negatives lie with the lens and eyepiece covers, they are difficult to manage. The lens covers do NOT stay in place and dangle in the way of bows being drawn!!! Caution must be exercised while wearing these binocs to avoid injury or damage to equipment. That's my report and it's based on my personal use of the Zeiss HD 10 X 42 binoculars. January 8, 2013
Great Purchase The Zeiss Binoculars were purchased as a gift for my son. He used them a couple of days after getting them and said they were fantastic especially in the woods. January 2, 2013
