Zebco Pro Staff Spincast Reel
Basic Reel for Casual Fishing
I have 3 of the 20/20s. One is over 25 years old, the other two I just recently bought. These are basic no frills reels which I use for lighter fishing (panfish, stuff under 5 pounds) and for lighter jigs, spinners and plastics. For what you pay for these work ok. I don't like the Cajun line they come stringed with, I think it's 10 pound test, I strip that off and use Stren 6 pound and I can then work with the lighter lure weights and still get good casting distance. These are great for keeping in the back of the truck for when you're driving around and see a "Spot" you want to hit for 10 or 15 minutes. Good for kids or beginners also. I consider these reels "disposable" so I'm not too concerned if they get damaged or lost. A decent buy for the buck. I read a few other reviews where the reels broke or they had issues, I guess you might run into a few lemons with these but for a $15 to $20 reel you might expect that.

total waste of money
drove 2hrs to my closest BassProShop to get a new trolling motor. Purchased this reel while I was there. Got home and it was USED and the gears were stripped!!! Not worth driving 4hrs round trip for $20.

I have two of these reels now. Casting distance is something else. I fish salt water and have not had any problems with the first purchase. Bought a second to have another with me for different bait setup....

reel needs help
Nothing to do with Bass Pro I bought this reel the first day I bought it the little retrieve pins broke looked at it and it was the spring so I just removed the pin worked ok because there are two . The line started to tangle up inside the cover when I reeled it in. Today I went out the other pin broke so you can't reel it in plus the whole rewind thing popped out looked inside only to find out that it was only glued in with two little spots of glue. Not worth sending back and lost the receipt so will put in my box for spare part don't waste your money on this one spend a little more money and get a good one.a good day of fishing is better than sitting on the banks trying to fix this reel
