This reel is excellent for perch jerking around the camp or in canals. It is also good for young children just starting out.

These reels are perfect for everyone and even pros. Those who are not happy with the 33 are the ones using braided line and line heavier than 8 pound test. You have to put light line on these reels people!!! 4 pound test will cast a mile!

Zebco 33 reels have been a part of my fishing experience for the last 35 years. You can't beat the reel for durability, price and reliabilty. I will always keep Zebco 33 reels as part of my Crappie fishing tackle.

just wondering if anyone has ever used braided line on a spincasting reel. particularly, a zebco 33 of which i have many. has anyone ever flipped with a spincaster? call it curiosity.Answers

If you use anything other than light mono on these reels or any other spin-cast reel, you are looking for trouble. 4-8 pound test mono max. You can do anything with these that you can do with conventional reels plus some.A:Â

ive used spyder wire braided w/ this reel. it didn't work well. u should but red cast cajun line on it. works real good and casts smoothly. also is very strong1 of 1
