Rated 5 out of 5 by Best, crappie and small bass rod I got this to do some crappie fishing in my creek in my back yard. I spooled it with 6lb stren line.It works amazingly! I catch crappie, panfish, and some small and medium size fish. They put up a awsome fight. I love the measure system on the side of the rod. July 19, 2011
Rated 2 out of 5 by Bill Dance Rod I bought this combo right before a Crappie Tourney. As expected it worked well and we brought in several large fish weighing up to 2.3 lbs, however, on the next trip a Crappie weighing 2.6 broke the tip of the rod. Not very durable. The reel has a good feel and has held up to decent size fish. I am going to keep the reel and trash the rod. December 23, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Buy The Bill Dance Crappie Rod Combo is a great buy for the money. The only thing I would change is the slip rings for the reel. I am not a big fan of these but that is personal preferance. I like securing my reels with screw down holders. If you like using jigs on crappie and you want a sensitive action pole, this is the pole for you. May 6, 2010
