Zebco 404 Spincast Reel
I switched from a Zebco 33 to a 404 for something that would be a bit stronger, With my 33 had a very nice smooth cast, and long, i was using a 10lb line on it. The 404 with the 15lb seemed stiff. And was not getting a very far cast even with upping the weight on it. I going switch back to the 33 and just use the 404 on a boat when i am doing drop shots.

Got off to good start.
On one of the first casts with our new Zebco 404 reel, my 10 year grand daughter hooked a 26 ", 7.0 pound channel cat fish off the dock where we fish at Lake Murray in Chapin, S.C. She couldn't reel in the large cat fish so I got the honor and enjoyed the performance of the Zebco 404 reel__reminded me of the good old days in the early and mid 1970s when I first learned to fish__I think the reel may have been a Zebco 202__the Zebco reels were good then and they are still good now.

great for the price
this is one awesome spin cast reel. i matched it up to an old z-glass trigger rod i had in my garage. my brother asked if he could borrow it one day. next thing you now he comes back with a nice 4 pound bass and a 3 pound stripper. i took out the original line and filled it with 8 pound zebco omni-flex. overall great reel.

The Zebco line of products are always the top of the line. The 404 Reel is by far an awesome tool to help bring in that big one.
