we bought this reel for my dad i picked it out because i thought that it would be a good reel.well was i wrong this is the worst reel that we have ever had in our family my dad made 3 cast with it and then it messed and it would not reel in so we take it back to the house but you can not take it apart.i am very disapointed.my dad went back to the house and put back on his 10 year old johnson reel that cost 12 bucks and went back to fishing.I thought that zebco was a good reel but in my eyes they are a piece of junk the construction was just cheap and bad over all do not by this reel

LINE SNAGS WHEN CASTING, COVER SLIDES OFF AFTER A FEW USES (SIMILAR TO THE HAWG) LINE GETS TANGLED INSIDE THE REEL. ZEBCO HAS STRAYED Y FROM THEIR OLDER MODELS THAT GOT THEM TO THE TOP.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Bryguy18 Gold is better than Platnium
I have owned and used this reel for over 4 years and it is by far, by favorite reel. It outperforms by platnium 33 by tenfold, it casts and reels smooth and effortlessly.

Very easy just unscrew the screw on the left side of the reel and screw the screw in on the other side and place the handle on the opposite sideA:Â
Very easy. You need a large flat head screwdriver. Remove the silver outer screw on the opposite side, then remove the solid brass bolt. Be careful to watch for the bearing/sleeves on both sides, as they will come out if you're not careful, but they are very easy to just place right back in the slots even if they do. Then put it back together on the both sides just like it came off. About a 4-5 minute job.1 of 1
