Swimbait hooks with a crawbug Used these today with the yum crawbug. Rigged it with a bullet weight out front. The hook kept the crawbug very stable and weedless in the water and since the crawbug is hollow like a tube bait, hook ups were consistent even with smaller bass. Caught 6 small bass up to 1 lb. in a couple hours in a local pond. Down side is obviously the price and would like to see it in a black or dark green. The white really stands out with a darker bait. great job caught a 6 pound large mouth bass. i used a 1 oz hook. May 30, 2012
Great hook and.... I have been using these hooks on all my swimbaits. The only thing that I would change is to make the shank was a little longer from the eye to first curve in the hook. This would submerge more of the hook into the nose of the swimbait preventing the hook from tearing through the swimbait. I also found by adding a split ring (as suggested by a Bass Pro) that the action of the swimbait increases. January 16, 2014
Great hook This hook is great for swimbaits. When you first thread the hook through the nose of the bait, make sure to thread it far enough that the nose of the bait will cover up the eye of the hook and this bait will be totally weedless on the nose. If you don't do this, you'll pick up all kinds of weeds and trash. This works so much better than the hooks that have a spring screw for the nose of the bait. I highly recommend this hook. The Yum hook has been working great for me. Note I add a split ring for my action. Also the hook must be straight in the swimbait for best action and tracking.

i use those swim bait hook weights and just cut the weight and put it towards the front of the hook. The hook i use is a 2/0 Gamakatsu round bend off set. That to me gives a more life like fall rather thatn split shot or even a bullet weight.
