If you have a smallmouth stream you like to fish, this is a good lure for you. rigged on a 3/0 hook,it is a great topwater lure. it makes a subtle, bubbly sound as it kicks away on top. I have seen smallies 'run' across a stream to hit it. very exciting to see. it is a good alternative to poppers or surface plugs. a plus is -you don't have to deal with treble hooks.casts well on spinning gear. can be used as a swim bait , or when weighted as a jig. works on largemouths too.please note that i will say later on that i own a boat, but my 'boats' are a canoe and a kyak, and i love to wade rivers.

One of the best baits out there for big bass in our lakes. Have caught up to 5- 4lbsor bigger basa in arow without having to put on a new bait. Little bass can strip them of your hook!

Purchased the Money Craws after seeing the results they produced for pros Matt Reed and Edwin Evers, and have been more than happy with the increased catch rate that these baits have given to me, not only in quanity but in quality of bass brought to the boat. Fish them texas rigged and as a jig trailer and you will see the results for yourself.

If you are not going to use it as a jig trailer than you should get the wooly bullee... but the money craw is a nice bait texas rigged also.... but i think the bullee is more versatile...Details:
does the lenght efect the width and thinkness of the bait?Answers
A:
I guess to answer your question the length does not affect the thickness of the bait. you can trim the bait down to get the action you need on your jig. gotta create something that the fish wants to eat on any given day.A:
In Maine as a rule we have clear rockywater and it seems the 3 inch money
craw works well.I have used the 4 inch
in Black/Blue in Lake Griffin in Florida
especially when the bass are on beds.

i use the 3 3/4 size for my jig trailer. Tear or cut off the skinny section and you're ready to go!1 of 1
