I've used this line for the last 6 years. Actually, I have one reel with 6 year old line on it.(I know it's not recomended) It still performs well. I can't part with the smoke color. This line is bulletproof. I fish it in lakes and rivers. It's strong, sensitive and an all around great line. I've tried many others, this is the best fishing line I've ever used. I wish the smoke color was still available. It's the only line I re-spool with.

I started using this line in response to very 'high-memory' flouro lines that worked poorly in cold conditions. Yo-Zuri Ultra Soft did the job. In fact, I now use it for my year-round spinning applications.
Supple, very castable, strong knots, abrasion resistance, relatively inexpensive, small diameter. I've been turning my buddies on to this product, usually after they see it's on-the-water performance on my rods. "Hey! How'd you do that?" :)

i bought this line to try on my spinning reel and it is better than mono for me as far as working will buy now on regular basis

This mono is very though on sharp teeth and is stronger than the pound test indicate.
Really, I do not fish with another mono than this one.
Mainly for smallmouth bass fishing or walleye.

Will this line work for plastics ie: worms, senkos etc or do I need to go with the other hybrid?

Yes, this will work for plastics. The answer above from h1gh3agle states he has used them successfully with 5" senkos, weighted and unweighted. You should be able to use any plastic that you normally use when fishing your spinning tackle.Answers

It has a low sink rate. You can still use this line with poppers, stickbaits, pencilbaits and crankbaits, ect.. I've never had an issue with this line when using topwaters or shallow runners. If you're still worried then I'd say stick with mono so you can fish your topwaters with more confidence. This line works great with 5" Senkos wacky rigged weightless or weighted. This is a good all purpose line.

The Yozuri Hybrid is a monofilament line coated with flourocarbon for greater invisibility than mono. But like mono, this line (as well as other "hybrid" lines) will float. Hybrid lines tend to be a bit stiffer than mono, but usually has better abrasion resistance. This newer version of Yozuri is more supple than their original Hybrid line, and is better suited for spinning gear.Answers

Not even close. This is pure 100% fluorocarbon and is in my opinion, and many others, the best on the market...period.A:Â
The Yo-Zuri hybird is a coplymer line - meaning it is a blend of monofilament and flourocarbon elements. It is stiffer (not as soft), so a little harder to fish. It will last longer on a reel, but will have less durability in the water and is less sensitive. The hybrid will also be more visible to fish. It is also "bulkier" - thicker line per # of test. I tried 2 spool of Yo_Zuri and ended up throwing half of each one away - the price and strength was good, but the "fishability" isnt as good.1 of 1
