Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 18 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by awsome leader This leader is great for inshore fishing. It is extremely abbrassion resistant and has near zero memory. I suggest 20-30 lb. for big redfish. January 20, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excelent product I used seaguar and triplefish fluorocarbon before and I can tell you that the hd fluorocarbon is superior, because the number of strikes are superior. May 22, 2008

Depends,
I think 10lb should be plenty unless,

If there is a lot of rough edges I would go up to higher then 15 .i

If your not worried about that then go a few pounds below your main line so that way if you get hung up the break will happen on the leader and you won't loose any of your main line.

I run 50lb power pro with a 40lb yo-zuri dissapearing pink floor for my leader its really good for abrasian. I fish the surf for striped bass that's why such heavey duty line.

I tend to use 10lb test a lot... most smaller pike won't bite you off unless they really engulf the bait. If you hook a musky though, you'll wish you had a steel leader on. ;)

I solve this problem by using PLine CX Premium, which is fluorocarbon coated, more supple and better casting than pure fluorocarbon, and simply select the pound test I think I'll need. With northerns and muskies I always use a short steel leader anyway. I am using CX Premium in Canada, Wyoming, Alaska, and Mexico, everywhere with good results. Only the pound test changes.
