This downsized version has same great water-chugging action and sharp, fish-catching colors as the Heddon Pop'n Image, plus an extra-loud hollow bead rattle. Sporting a finely detailed finish, the Pop'n Image Jr. is equipped with premium, dressed rotating treble hooks. Length: 2-3/8". Hook size 6.

Summer Popin! I know that when it gets hot out its time to use my go to lure, a Heddon pop’n image jr, in the threadfin shad color. It provides a good flash in stained water and has a really good pop action. I prefer the jr to the original, because I seem to catch more fish on the jr, I think this is do to the fact that it is just a little smaller and it looks like an easy meal for lazy summer bass. Despite its smaller size this lure seems to still catch good size fish; I have landed a number of 3 to 4 pound largemouths with this lure. November 9, 2007
One Of The Best! My 13 year old son got me into top water night fishing for largemouth while on a trip last summer. I had toyed with it, but never really sat out to do it. I bought two Excalibur Popn Image Jr's to give it a shot. BAM!!! I never enjoyed bass so much in my life!!! What a lure!! Needless to say, I have purchased several more in various colors since, and can't wait to hit the water with them next season and try them on smallmouth in Canada. I even caught a few small stripers on them in Connecticut just playing around. My son loves them and keeps taking mine so I have to get more for him. Can't say enough about 'em!!! November 9, 2006
Best Popper Get this popper, especially if you fish ponds where sunnies are the main food for bass, the red ear color is super realistic, and the bass love it. The bigger size popper is better, and the red ear color on the spit n image is the best, but bass pro shops only has this model, which is too bad. November 7, 2006
Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner I can't say I thought there was much left to do with with top water popper/chugger design, but this is one of the best modern lures of its type I've ever seen. It'll pop, chug & spit, and even walk the dog a little as it goes. It hangs at an angle in the water rather than floating flat on top, more like a feeding baitfish than many others, and the hooks are very sharp. A dressed rear treble and good colors/patterns are the final touches on an exceptional top water lure. Worth every penny; I own two of these and one full sized version (so far). May 7, 2010

I would go with the baby bass, I have caught largemouth using it on top and also reeling it in very quickly just beneath the surface.
