XPS Signature Series Monofilament Fishing Line - 800-1000 Yards
As a professional fishing line adviser to the international industry, it has come to my panels' decision that the Bass Pro Shops line of monofilament, both the Excel and the XPS brand that their formula change has resulted in industry proven, independent lab testing for excessive line twisting in all available line weights. This twisting occurs in both spooling and casting of both brands of their monofilament line when applied correctly to recommended spinning reels and rods. The performance of the Excel and XPS lines of monofilament has achieved a rating of poor in our independent lab tests when compared to other industry leading brands.

I don't usually have trouble with fishing line but this brand doesn't come off the spool good like some other brands do. I end up with a mess and it doesn't make any difference the strength of the line. I bought 5 sizes and they all do the same thing. I've taken line off the top of the spool and the bottom. No difference.

Between the Excel and XPS I choose the Excel.. In fishing the same body of water with both had two smallies breakoff with the XPS The line seems to be un-uniform and more prone to nicking..Sorry may work for others in different conditions, but for myself the 6pd in creeks just doesnt fly..Tight Lines

Have not fished with it yet. Bought 12lb line and while spooling it had a lot of twisting, tangling and knotting issues. Hopefully it performs better on the water. Not a lot of confidence in product so far.
