Sorry Between the Excel and XPS I choose the Excel.. In fishing the same body of water with both had two smallies breakoff with the XPS The line seems to be un-uniform and more prone to nicking..Sorry may work for others in different conditions, but for myself the 6pd in creeks just doesnt fly..Tight Lines April 6, 2012
