Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 87 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappointed So I decided to not listen to the previous reviews, but they were right. Third trip out and the right strap ripped out the back as I picked it up. If the straps held up this bag would be a 5+. There is plenty of storage and the layout is great for organizing your tackle.... BPS PLEASE MAKE THE STRAPS STRONGER!!! April 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect Boat Bag This is the most complete bag I have used. The best selling point is the rain fly.If you ever fish and get caught in the rain then the rain fly will keep your gear dry. Most other bags you get to dump the water out when you get home...The eye glass case is awesome, formed perfectly for my Costa sunglasses. March 24, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Straps are no good! I have had 2 of these bags over the last 6 months. The first bag had the right shoulder strap rip right off of the bag after 2 outings. I thought maybe I had overloaded the bag, so I returned it and got a 2nd bag, checked the straps and went home. This time, I loaded it with my 5 370 boxes only 1/2 full at most. After 3 trips, the right shoulder strap is beginning to rip off agin and it is only a matter of time before it is completely disconnected from the bag. I love the space as I thought I could load up the bag and be prepared for any thing I may encounter while hiking the rivers or lakes that I explore. As a I am not a boat owner, I fish from the bank and lugging a tackle box around is no fun. At this time, Bass Pro has been great and they are willing to replace the bag again. This bag would get 5 stars from me if the straps were more secure. With this 3rd bag, I may see if there is a way to secure the straps with additional stitching. March 18, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by DO NOT BUY!! If you're thinking about buying this bag, THINK AGAIN! Sure, it's got plenty of storage at a good price. Sure, it's even got backpack capability! But wait -- theres more!! It comes equipped with exclusive "quick-release" strap technology!! On your first trip, within your first few steps, the backpack straps conveniently rip right off. On the way down, the bag scrapes the backside of your leg until it rams your achilles, finally resting on the ground. Or, if you're lucky, it will roll down the embankment right into the water... How awesome is that?! But wait -- it also comes equipped with a regular shoulder-strap as well!! How kind! After a few minutes of admiring your new super-awesome bag, in your current awe-stricken state, you finally decide it's time to get to fishin'! So you grab the last remaining strap, and before you even get the bag completely off the ground, the "quick-release" technology strikes again! Your hand flies upward towards your face, and you feel like Bruce Lee as you dodge the fist full of strap!! Now you sit there, strap in-hand, looking at your strapless bag, wondering how you got so lucky!!! Figuring your luck has run out for the day, you awkwardly grab the bag and walk the three steps back to the truck, limping, while hoping no one was watching. March 13, 2014

They are rod carriers. You can use them to lash your rods to the bag when you go for a hike instead of carrying them. I've lashed down 4 rods at a time to mine for hikes around Quincy Res. in Aurora.

To hold longer items outside the bag that won't fit inside. Like a sand spike. Or I use mine to hold a collapsible rod used for fishing snappers.

I contemplated both and this met my needs more. I fish both rivers and lakes. Both from shore and on boats and this had the versatility I wanted and needed. Love the bag and don't plan to buy another one EVER!

I have used it almost exclusively in salt water. The zippers are thick and smooth, made entirely of plastic and easy to pull. Even if you get sand in them wash with water will help remove. Don't worry about hurting the bag, it is VERY durable

I'm confident it will. I use this and a small binder bag on my trips in the back of my buddy's boat. its good to have enough tackle cause u just lose sleep when you're missing out because you couldnt squeeze in those extra boxes.
