Rated 4 out of 5 by Polarboy1 Near perfect
I began fishing this model in 2012. Since my original purchase I have bought 7 more for color options for varied conditions. I have similar baits from competitors, but the success that this bait has is yet to be matched. I would say it is a perfect 5 star, but I did have one that the lip popped out and I had to re-glue. The only other complaint is the paint flakes off quickly. A little clear nail polish and they last longer. Even missing some paint they out fish the other jerk baits in my boat.

I find myself fishing the main and secondary points of my favorite lake during late winter and early spring. For me using a jerkbait during this time of year is a proven and exciting way to catch numbers of bass. A football jig is also a good choice but, the action is just too slow. The XCalibur signature series suspending EEratic Shad jerkbaits are now my go to bait of choice. Put one of these quality baits in front of a big lethargic Bass, with a quick jerk-jerk-pause and game over...they just cant resist it's life like detail and action. You wont be sorry for trying one.

Absolutely!! However I've found the hook up is better on fluorocarbon compared to braid! As you know you'll wind up losing a few baits cause they explode on this bait!!A:
Hi, I would assume so. I have very large pickerel on my lake and they murder this thing. I would suggest getting slightly bigger treble hooks for it if going for bigger fish thoA:
Excellant choice. I lost two killer pike two years ago while in Algonquin Park, onBooth Lake. If you want to canoe in for
pike, this is your lake along with small mouth bass.

They average around 4 feet. The castability is great with this bait. I can actually fling it under overhanging limbs with confidence!A:
using 12# fluro I have found this bait to reach about a 6 ft. depth where it suspends perfectly with a slight rolling action. I have also used 12# mono and it will suspend at about a 4 ft. depth. Problem with mono is that the line has a slight bow in it and mono line is less sensative to bites that are "soft" where the bass just comes up and sucks the bait in. This does not mean that you will not catch these bass, you will... they will inhale this bait and will usually have the bait sideways in there mouth. My choice though is fluro because of it's sensativity.A:

The flicker shad 3" will run about 9 to 12 feet depending on how much line is out.A:
on a jerk it stays about 4 feetA:
