The Wright & McGill Skeet Reese Signature Series Tessera S-Curve Trigger Rods are constructed using S-Curve technology, a process that combines T-Glass with high-density graphite for the core of the blank. Carbon yarn, PBO fiber, and glass fibers are then woven into a combination of T-Glass and high-density graphite for a super-strong blank with increased compression resistance.
"Don't think for one moment these rods aren't great because of the price. Because if they weren't, I wouldn't jeopardize my career by using them."Skeet Reese2009 Bassmaster Classic® Champion

I have 5 of these in my boat of various styles. I have found them to be very light and good value for the money spent. I am able to cast a considerable distance using these with the Johnny Morris Carbonlite reels. My only complaint is the eyes seem to be very easily damaged. Wright-McGill wants $30 dollars to replace them...and only if they determine the problem is theirs. However, I have had the eyes replaced locally and they continue to work well.

When my BPS Tourney Special rod broke in less than a year, I took that opportunity to upgrade to a higher quality rod. I was deciding between two similar rods (The W&M Spinnerbait/Worm and St. Croix Mojo Bass). The Mojo Bass was $10 more and carried a 5 year warranty, and was 6" shorter. After talking to the staff member (who said he owned versions of both), I decided to get this rod, despite some reviews of breakage.
It took a few casts to get used to the med-fast action compared to the T/S fast action, but once I got used to it, it's a very good rod. I haven't had it but a week yet, but it's already caught me several 2-3lb bass (they don't grow big here in CO).
I was throwing 3/8oz buzzbaits and it had no problem tossing them where I wanted, and I could feel how fast the blade was spinning even on long casts. Hooksets were rock solid. I was wading so I had no need to swing any fish, but I don't doubt it would have held fine.

This is probably one of the best rods i own. I have caught fish ranging 1-6 lbs. Even on the bigger fish, the rod still has a great bend and amazing hook setting power. I think everyone should own one of these rods. Good job Skeet Reese.
