''Don't think for one moment these rods aren't great because of the price. Because if they weren't, I wouldn't jeopardize my career by using them."

Constructed using S-Curve technology, a process that combines T-Glass with high-density graphite for the core of the blank. Carbon yarn, PBO fiber, and glass fibers are then woven into a combination of T-Glass and high-density graphite for a super-strong blank with increased compression resistance.

I have 11 of these rods and they are great rods. I have broken 2 of them but both times it was my fault.fell on one and broke the other one after I swung a 4lber in the boat pick him up while he was still hook an flopped out of my hand with about 4 foot of line out. so I never had one break flipping a fish in the boat. flipped up to 8 to 10 pound hybrids and stripers in the boat.

Purchased the shakeyhead/senko rod in May of last year. I loved this rod for the first year...not heavy like some people complained about, sensetive and worked great for shakey head and wacky rig presentations. Last week I was fishing after work in the evening and as I was swinging a 13-14in bass onto the deck I heard a "pop" and looked up to see the tip broke between the 3rd and 4th guides. I was livid to say the least. After reading some reviews and posts on message boards I have found a lot of people experienced what I did....unexceptable. I wanted badly to still like these rods but when multiple people break rods swinging 1 1/4 pound bass on to the boat that sounds like a major flaw to me. I can't count the number of 1-2 pound bass I've swung on to the deck like that and have never broke a rod before. Beware before buying....and have a look at their warranty too.

Bought this rod yesterday inspite of a handful of bad reviews. Got a new pleuger supreme as well and had just got it spooled up and was going to put on a spinnerbait to try it out in the lake across the street. Just after I got the line through the last eyelet I gave it a very slight tug to see how the rod felt and it snapped about 10 inches down right at the 3rd guide. I'm sure glad it was then and not on a 5lb smallie. I'm going back to BPS carbon lite. I have 2 and they haven't let me down. BPS customer service on the phone was great though and is taking it back no problem! Save the trouble and go with a different brand!

Rated 5 out of 5 I'm very pleased with the rod I have
These rods are great, I Bass fish every week all year round, however, this rod arrived with the tip broken off. It wasn't in the tube, so it was packed broken. I had ordered it because I already own one and it is great, very flexible, good action for top water and small to med crank baits. BPS refunded the cost and part of the return shipping, but as this was the third attempt to get this rod (two other tries from other vendors) I gave up and got a Vendetta as I have one of those as well.
