I have a fat head. Not like grossly so, but big enough that standard "one size fits most" caps look small on me, and most don't fit right. I guess I'm not one of the "most".
Anyway, I got two of these, one with mesh and a tan one without. They fit great, they look good, and the long bill is superb at keeping the sun off my face.
I've worn the tan one nearly all the time, switching to the mesh one in hot weather. The tan one is now so tattered and fish slime stained that flies won't even land on it. My wife hates it. She wants to throw it away, but I hide it in my Jeep.
The mesh one still looks great and thus I use that one for running errands etc, so I look civilized.
But if I end up in a seedy part of town and need to look like a badass no one wants to mess with, I put on the tan cap.
It helps.
Maybe bad guys just don't want to touch it...like the flies.

I've had this hat for several months. The bill seems a little large, but that's why I got it - to protect my face from the sun. It does that well. My friend asked me after fishing, "What sun screen are you using? Your face is not red." We used the identical sun screen. Only the caps were different. It's cool. I've never sweated with it. I like it a lot.
