Angler-proven for unmatched quality, fishability, and durability, our World Wide Sportsman® Camo Line surpasses every other comparably-priced line in abrasion resistance, tensile strength, stretch resistance, and knot strength. Plus, its a one-of-a-kind blend of varying shades and hues produces a camo color that makes this line as good as gone when it hits the water, resulting in more bone-jarring strikes and fewer fleeing fish.

  • Unmatched quality, durability and fishability
  • Abrasion resistant, stretch resistant
  • Blended shades and hues for a camo color that is virtually invisibile under water

Toughest Line EVER!! I use this line for inshore saltwater fishing for multiple species, mainly Trout, Flounder & Redfish. This line has never let me down. Incredibly tough, I am not afraid to throw a bait in and around the junk. concrete pilings covered with oysters, telephone poles, channel markers, piers and oyster beds. Has all the sensitivity of the most expensive lines but much tougher. I use this line in 4 pound test for ultra lite fishing for panfish, 12 lb for Largemouth Bass and 15 lb for saltwater. My son landed a 20 lb jack Cravelle after he wrapped around a dock piling, the line held up. June 6, 2010
Excellent Line For True Sportsmen Have you ever been fishing for panfish and all of a sudden you have hooked a fish that is different than what you are fishing for and it is much larger than you expect. I can answer that for you. And the answer is "yes". I have been fishing since I was kneehigh to a knat and of course I have learned how to land large fish on very small fishing line. In particular "worldwide sportsman camo fishing line". Of course I get a whole lot more bites on this line because of its "invisibility" in the water (any water). That is proven over and over again. But what the real kicker is, the ability to land large fish. I won't go into much depth but I will tell you this. Since you are fishing for panfish you will probably be using (for best results, trust me) a 7ft. ultra light panfish rod or a 9ft. fly rod (must be a good quality fishing rod). A longer rod gives you the maximum performance out of your fishing line. Any for myself I use a good quality small spinning reel for weight purposes because I can cast literally all day non-stop. You can use a larger "line holding" spinning reel if you must. You must know how to use your drag, or know how to use your anti-reverse feature on your rod. I don't use my drag but prefer my anti-reverse feature because once I switch it off I can gauge and play the fish much better and will wear it down much quicker. A longer rod allows you the ability to react by switching off the anti-reverse feature. But for those of you who don't react quickly enough "yet" you better pre-set your drag. I trust this line and my ability because I have caught catfish and buffalo fish in the 50lb. range quite frequently using 6lb. test "worldwide sportsmen camo fishing line". Yes 6lb. test line. I have also spooled this line and have used it for up to 3 years fishing for crappie and bream. The only reason I change is if it gets too short on my reel. So hone your skills, I'm telling you it is possible with this line. February 22, 2009
VERY DISAPOINTING HAVE BEEN USING THIS LINE IN 8 LB. TEST FOR MAYBE 7-8 YEARS. IT HAS BECOME MY FAVORITE LINE FOR MOST WATER CONDITIONS.JUST PURCHASED IT IN 12 LB. TEST AND IT IS THE WORST LINE I HAVE EVER PUT ON A REEL. IT FEELS LIKE WIRE AND THE MEMORY IS SO BAD THAT 3 DAYS AFTER SPOOLING, I COULDN'T HARDLY CAST DUE TO THE COILS. A FEW YEARS AGO, A FRIEND GAVE ME A LARGE SPOOL OF BARGAIN LINE. YOU KNOW, A MILLION YARDS FOR $1.98 . IT WAS BRITTLE IN SPOTS AND THE MEMORY WAS BAD. THREW IT AWAY. THIS LINE IS CERTAINLY NOT BRITTLE, BUT THE MEMORY IS WORSE. CAN IT BE THAT THERE IS THAT MUCH DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 8 LB. TEST AND 12 LB. TEST ? OR ARE THEY NOW MAKING IT DIFFERENTLY ? April 17, 2014
Diam - breaking strain I bought this about 3 years back when it was on a special at bps. I had read some good reviews. However the first few times I used it I lost fish with it snapping. I also notice it shredded easily when fishing around rock and structure, contrary to some early reviews. It also feels very thick compared to other brands of the same break strain. I swore i would only use it as backing line. Anyway I respooled a couple of reels last year and tried it again. Making sure to check it frequently for damage. And pulling off a couple of rod lengths each trip. Last league it landed me a 12,7lb. Bass. So I guess it can't be all bad. I quite like the camo (red/clear) colour. May 26, 2014

I use this line in 8 Lb. test for small reels and works very well it has amazing knot strength when you tie a proper knot, if you put too much of this line on a spinning reel it will unwind when you open the bail but that will happen with any mono line. I use 17 Lb. on my catfish rods with a larger spinning reel I was able to land a 50 Lb. flathead with this line this year I was very happy as well as surprised with the amount of abuse it was able to take just set a proper drag and you can wear them out without breaking the line.

Yes, this works the best on spinning reels. I have 8 pound and it's good, but I recommend the 12 pound.

I use this line mostly on spinning reels and it works great! Just be mindful as to how you spool it on. I try to keep the line coiling off the spool in the same direction as it goes on the reel. This keeps down the tangles or "bird-nests." You can also just spool it on then attach a swivel and a casting plug. Cast it and reel it in and that should keep the kinks and tangles out.
