Worden's Original Rooster Tail - 1/6 oz.
I use the tiny 1/6 oz rooster tail in white and I am thrilled with its performance.
I have pulled in a pretty staggering number of fish using this lure. Even stubborn, slow biting ponds eventually seem to relent and give it some play after a while. It works in clear or stained water and in sunny or overcast conditions.
Even on this tiny lure, I have managed to attract and land a fairly nice sized crappie, an 18" bass, and a 12" bass, as well as countless bluegill.
I have had the best luck casting it out, giving a count off, and then slowly reeling it in once it has dropped to the depth that I want to target.
If I had one lure to use in a survival situation, this would be it. It pulls in many different species of fish in many different conditions, casts well, has a simple and robust construction, and just plain works well.

i must say, the hardest choice between the greatest lures came down to the original floating rapala and this. i chose this because no matter what their is a color to trigger that bite. and you can jig it, retrive it, jerk it, or drift it and u get a fish, everytime. i think that white and firetiger are the best where i live. and i slam every species on the 1/6 and1/8. the white bass up here cant leave the white one alone!

Love this lure
I love this lure. I have a tackle box that is stocked with only these lures. My favorite colors for my home area of the Ohio River are Black, Pink, Pink/Black tiger, and Grey Minnow.
Some of our ( My Wife and I) catches have came on these lures. We have caught everything from Largemouth, Smallmouth, and Striper Bass to Crappie and Bluegill out of the river. On one trip I even hooked into a 4 lbs Channel Cat.

Best inline spinner
This has been by far my favorite lure. The 1/6 oz. #01 (gray minnow) is my favorite color. If I use this lure, I am certain to catch anything from bluegill to large mouth bass. I have caught my largest large mouth, striper, walleye, and even my largest channel cat on this same lure. the spinner does stop spinning after some use, but most others I have used do the same. They, however, are not as productive.
