Developed in the 1950's by Howard Worden, the Worden's® Rooster Tail® is one of the most productive lures ever invented. The action of the spinning blade in combination with the colorful, pulsating hackle tail makes the Rooster Tail irresistible to any gamefish. It's a lure that consistently catches fish. Fishermen across North America and abroad are using Rooster Tails successfully for trout, bass, perch, crappie stripers, pike, steelhead, salmon and other gamefish.
I was fishing a local stream and catch this one on a black/gold single hood lure.

Great for pan fish
I love paddling my yak to a honey hole and fishing for pan fish with my ultra-light spinning rigs.
I have always hated trying to de-hook little bluegills, long ears, etc. from the treble hooks on standard in-lines. Saw these and decided to give them a shot. They catch fish as good as the trebles but are sooo much easier to remove.
2 thumbs up!!

red rooster tail
I recently went down to Bennet Springs, MO to do some trout fishing. When the whistle blew I cast my line into the water and 'bam' I got a trout. I caught 3 on this lure the first hour.

Love this lure
I absolutely love to fish with the Rooster Tail single hook lure. I catch crappie, bream and even a 5 lb. catfish. They are hard to find so I am really glad that Bass Pro Shop carries them.
