The Black on Black rooster tail(#40) is probably the best all around lure in my tackle box. i've caught bass, bream, crappie, catfish, jack(chain pickeral),grenal(bowfin),shellcrackers, red bellies, and the occasional gar on this lure. when they're not biting they'll usually bite this one. my lures have been hit so much that they're bent and paint is coming off of them. i don't know what it is with the black on black but the fish love it!

Absolutely the best smallmouth bass lure I've ever used for river fishing! The hottest color or pattern varies with the seasons and year by year, so take a selection. A Plano pocket pack of Rooster Tails in assorted colors is all that I have carried with me for Tenn. and Va. river fishing for many years, and I've never been disappointed.

Best In-line spinner yet!!!!!
These spinners are great they will catch just about anything that swims. I have caught smallmouth ,large mouth and trout on these things. They work great and the are easy to use and very cheap I would buy these for any types of fishing. This summer I plan to try them on pike.

LOL, it's not a lure. It's a storage tool for rigs with leaders. You attach the loop or swivel to the rubber tit rap the leader in a coil around the tube and stick the hook in the rubber after it's all wound up.
Try using neutral colors (such as color 54) in more clear water situations. Using attractor colors are great when facing stained or muddy water situations. As for presentations, allow the fish to help you decide. These can be fished on a steady retrieve, a stop and go motion, or even a jigged retrieve.
