My dad's favorite spinner
My dad was a big believer in the Rooster Tail and for good reason, these spinners consistently catch fish. I recommend keeping a few colors around for different water conditions. Next to the Black Fury, the Rooster Tail is my best performing spinner.

LOL, it's not a lure. It's a storage tool for rigs with leaders. You attach the loop or swivel to the rubber tit rap the leader in a coil around the tube and stick the hook in the rubber after it's all wound up.
Try using neutral colors (such as color 54) in more clear water situations. Using attractor colors are great when facing stained or muddy water situations. As for presentations, allow the fish to help you decide. These can be fished on a steady retrieve, a stop and go motion, or even a jigged retrieve.
