Great pair of boots use them for hiking and cutting wood hunting an use them in forest fires for firefighting good in water could be a little taller tho. Very warm living in northern ontario warmth helps.

work telecommunications for an electric company so I work inside and outside. I have to travel from the corporate office to substations to the power plants. These boots work great since I am inside and outside and in all the elements. I highly recommend.

I couldn't be happier with these boots! I have gone through countless work boots that had leather uppers. They all would crack at the flex points in a very short time due to the daily exposure to water and various chemicals I encounter at work. These boots don't appear to be affected by such conditions. I also appreciate the "speed lace" design. I hardly need to do much more than untie them in order to remove the boots. Putting them on is a snap. Just a quick pull of the laces and they are ready to tie. But the best thing about them is the roominess of the toe area. (I got the wide model.) These are the first boots I have ever had that are truly roomy where they should be. These boots were an amazing bargain!

I remember from the accompanying paperwork that they do meet the ANSI standard (I can't remember as per the ASTM) for safety shoes; this is something I had to confirm in order to receive reimbursement from my employer for my purchase.A:Â
