Can the Pedestal be cut down to say 6"? My seats now slide but are too low to the floor, I just want to raise them about 4" with a slide. just wondering if I can cut down the shaft and still attach the top.Thank you

I called Wise and they told me it can be cut down, they had plenty of people do it. I'm not really worried about the warranty although they didn't mention it would void it. I just wanted to know if the top of the pole was coned or flat and if i cut it would the top slide go back on. I really need one about 6" but now that it can be cut I can make any size. My seats now sit on a slide that are mounted on the floor of my boat. Very uncomfortable getting in and out.Thank You
