pedistal was a little short for me (6'2") but I mounted it to a 2" X 12" board cut to be square then mounted to my platform and this gave me a great height for my seat - I used bolts that reached through the floor, 2 x 12 and the pedistal base - worked great, very sturdy

This is the third pedestal that I've bought. I use them with a boat seat in all my tree stands, They work great and the cost won't break the bank.

These are great pedestals for the money. They were just what I was looking for at a good price. Easy to install and I also added the seat swivel to the top. It made for a very solid and inexpensive pedestal for my jon boat. Very happy with these and I would highly recommend these if you are on a budget, thanks Bass Pro.
