A Bass Pro Exclusive!
For hot dove fields with lots of fast shooting action, this is your shotshell. Featuring a heavier shot load that can still offer velocities of up to 1270 FPS and plenty of knockdown power, these shotshells are the perfect balance of performance and value so you can shoot in high volumes without breaking the bank. Great on fast-flushing quail too. For maximum performance in the field or woods, you can depend on the performance of Winchester Texas Heavy Dove and Quail Load Shotshells. 25 rounds per box.

Rated 2 out of 5 by NOT Heavy enough of a load I bought these shells thinking it would be a heavier punch then regular game loads. Turns out they are just as light and shouldn't retain the word "Heavy". I've shot many thousand rounds of other heavy loads and this does not meet exceptions of that rule. September 9, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Texas Heavy Dove Loads Recently Purchased a new Remington 1100 /20ga in full camo, and I did with this new shotgun as I do with all my new firearms.I experiment with various ammuntion / loads / etc.,in that new firearm to determine the answer to the most important questions, what does the best and what is the most accurate. In the case with a shotgun I pattern brands, loads, choke tubes & shot size, at 10 yard increments out to 40yds for bird/duck/squirrell/critter shotguns and out to 50yds on turkey/deer shotguns,on large sheets of paper. First off I wanted to find the Dove load this shotgun liked the best, and bought a box of high velocity Dove loads in #8 shot in 4 top brands.I was not impressed by any of them, some did good ,some did terrible, none did great. So I was still looking for something better, I come across the Texas Heavy Dove Loads by accident ,and decided to get a box and see how they did on paper. The loads didnt have a pattern size any different than the other premium brands / loads, however they did have an impressive velocity for low brass, but what makes these loads stand way above the rest, is they dont leave voids in the patterns you can drive a truck through. These loads disperse impressively even, and do not leave big voids in the patterns and was equally as even on paper with all 3 choke constrictions I tried ( Imp,Mod &Full). These are very good loads, after I discovered this and had the proof on paper to prove it ,I ordered more, only to realize I really didnt get quite enough for myself yet.So dont buy very much of these shells, because I want to get some more for myself first. Rated 3 out of 5 by clay shells i would not recomend these shells for dove or quail hunting. they make exelent trap shooting shells but theres nothing heavy about them when it comes to dove and quail. use super sport AA's for dove and quail February 11, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for the long shots these are definatley worth the extra dollar or 2 because these compared to the target loads is undeniably plain as day. these brought down a dove at 70 yards with no problem one hit and theyre done. but the target loads at that range and one shot. you got better luck than me. In my experience, Bass Pro simply charges the price of 10 boxes for a case, and yes, almost all shotshells can be bought by the case as that is how they are shipped originally.
