I can't disagree more with the previous reviewer. I shot 5 different slugs in my benelli before settling on this one. Some of the other brands were ok and others were all over the place. The point is, slugs shoot different from gun to gun. The XP3 shoots great out of my gun and is devastating on the deer it hits.

My 870 with a Hasting rifled barrel was dailed in with BRI saboted 3 in rounds. tried these new 3 in slugs and they were not even on the board - 4 foot by 6 foot back stop - worse sabot slug I have ever shot out of gun in my 30 years of shooting sabot rounds.

I started using this slug last year when I purchased my Mossberg 835. This gun has shot two deer, both nice 8 pointers and neither of them made it 20 yards. This is an absolute beast of a slug. In my opinion the best they make. They are expensive but you dont have to use but one shot lol..........I will continue to use these until they stop making them!

I bought these when they first came out for $8.30 a box. Cheap then, but ridiculous now. They are not accurate at 50 yards. But at 20 they are. I wacked a 5 pointer with these and blew a hole in his side that I can put a soda can in. The exit was the size of a softball. They do some damage.
