I have shot 6 to 8 deer with the Winchester Supreme Accubond 270 WSM loads and they are not worth a flip for deer. They may be accurate but they do not bring down deer. I am ready to go back to my old 30 06 shooting Remmington Core Lok bullets. Shot a nice 8 point this morning using the Winchester Supreme Accubond 150 gr 270 WSM and watched the deer run 200 yards before dropping. Perfect behind the shoulder shot...This has happened to me over and over. I am ready to sell my 270 WSM because I can't find another load. Not to mention that they are very expensive...

Rated 5 out of 5Â by SgtRockNM Awesome knock down
I purchased these for a New Mexico Elk hunt. I took the elk with one shot at 345 yds. The knock down power of this bullet was awesome. Very impressed by its performance.

I shot this bullet in a Browning A Bolt Titanium 300wsm, the bullet at a 100 yards had a 1/2 group with 5 shots. I also collected a handfull of the bullets from the sand bank in which I shoot into and in weighing the bullets they had retained 60-70 percent of there weight. Just returning from a Colorado elk hunt and harvesting a bull elk at about 100 yards or so and with one shot that passed through the shoulders exiting the animal completely and expired the bull in less than 20 feet.

The lever action should be able to fire this ammo but I would load more than one round in it at a time since the lever actions have tubular magazines. Check out the Hornady acutip is you want to load them into a tubular magazine.FYI - If load multiple rounds into a tubular magazine with spinzer points on them you can cause a chain reaction when firing the gun. (i.e. the recoil cause the points on round to hit the primer on the round in front of it causing the chain reaction)
