I shot this ammo in my 4 3/4" Freedom Arms last season exclusively and it performed well on 6 whitetails including a really nice buck and a bunch of doe. I've tested it in both my 4 3/4" and my 10" gun and it shoots very well from both guns. This is not a full house load and ballistically it is equivalent to a 44 Mag. or heavy .45 Colt load which is great unless you need the power a 454 can deliver and you don't for whitetails. From my short barrel it exits the muzzle at 1450 fps and is very pleasant to shoot.

No! Only the Freedom Arms 454 Casull was designed for this kind of pressures.The 45 colts is around 800 ft lbs VS over 1,000 ft lbs. for the Casull.
Could be parts and pieces and a very bad day. Just because it fits, does not make it right!

No!!! It is not intended to use anything but the 45 Long Colt or the .410 shotgun shell.The .454 has way too much head pressure for your Judge.
The S&W .460 XVR can use, 45 Long Colt, .455 Casull and the powerful .460 and is a pleasure to shoot and super accurate.
