I use the 3" 1 7/8 # 6 shot for turkey. Was a recommended shot size for the gobblin thunder .655 on my 870. Produces some good patterns at 40+ yards

I have not shot a turkey with this load but the 3in 1&7/8oz. load put the hammer down on a rabid raccoon at 20 yards.

I have used these loads in 3" - 1 7/8 ounce loads. I use them from a Remington 870 with an extra full choke. I can easily reach out to 50 yards. I don't turkey hunt that often, but they have claimed the lives of two nice toms.
