Consistant Performance I have tried several brands and types of sub-sonic ammunition in .22; none have performed better than the Winchester Super X....this is also the cleanest burning ammo, leaving very little residue. These are hard to find, but Bass Pro has always come thru..................as usual. January 17, 2011
Great Ammo! Super quiet in a Henry lever action, accuracy is outstanding and the big hollowpoints hit very hard. No misfires after shooting 5 boxes. This is the only ammo I hunt small game with anymore. December 15, 2010
Very Good Ammo I've shot several boxes of the Super-X Subsonics through my Ruger 77/22 with very good results. This ammunition shots very accurate and clean. I really like the fact that this ammunition has a quiet report that does not bother my neighbors. Two thumbs UP... November 12, 2010
Excellent ammunition. Its one of the best types of ammo I have ever used in my Berreta Neo's semi-auto 22 pistol with 6" barrel I have ever used. Over many months and thousands of practise rounds with this gun I usally only have maybe at the most one jam per thousand rounds which is extremely good for any brand. Having tried many different brands with 36 or 40 grain this has been the most reliable ammunition I have found so far period. It also is very affordable to shoot with as well as dependable also. I have had great luck with Winchester Subsonics using my Savage Mark II bolt-action.

If the Rifle works using standard velocity ammo, I would recommend this without hesitation.

your gun is rated for 22lr, and bolt actions are typically strong actions. As long as your gun is in good condition, you should have no issues with subs or any other 22lr round, especially since 22lr is a low pressure cartridge.

They should work just fine in any manually operated firearm chambered for LR such as your Model 80. They are very accurate in my Marlin bolt action. Definitely give them a try. I think you'll be impressed. As a side note, the subsonic round doesn't seem to have enough recoil to operate my Marlin autoloader consistently.
