After purchasing a Carlson's rifled choke tube for my Stoeger m2000, I wanted to try it out without blowing out my wallet and so I bought two packs of these. Using open sights, I was able to stay accurate out to about 70-80 yards. There's no doubt to me that it would drop a deer also. I'll be sticking to these until I find something better.

these slugs are acurate out to 150 yards and will take a deer out to that distance as well. if you want to shoot 200 yards dont waste ur time with a rifled choke tube ud beter have a fully rifled barrel and i would run them through ballistics gell at that range they probably dont have alot of knock down power at that range. i would recomend lightfield slugs at that range but there more expensive but beter.

shoots perfect groups at 50 yards in my mossberg 535 with improved cylinder choke. can shoot 3 inch groups at 100 yards out of the same gun. cut the bullseye 3 times out of 5 shots at the range yesterday at 100 yards. never though i would find a slug thats shoots like that, but i have it now.

I have had very good luck with these slugs they shot good with good knock down power. Today i got a nice 8 pointer with them.

I wouldn't recommend firing slugs out of a full choke barrel. You could possible crack the barrel at the choke or create a dangerous pressure buildup in the barrel. Look for a cylinder or improved choke and you should be good or better yet a rifled barrel.Q:Â

I would not use any rifled shell with that barrel or choke. Use a regular slug. If you do use a full or Modified choke. You will not be very accurate over 50-75 yards. Your basic slug will reach 100-120 yards better.A:Â

Yes , but you might want to try (rackmaster slugs by winchester) they are made for all barrels.The slugs you have choosen are foster style slugs made mostly for smooth bore barrel's .YOU need sabot style slugs.1 of 1
